- There are no formal prerequisites. Anyone can register for the SnowPro Core exam.
- Snowflake recommends six or more months of experience using Snowflake before attempting the exam.
- You must review and accept Snowflake's Certification Terms and Conditions during registration. Declining them blocks registration for any Snowflake exam.
- You need an account in the Snowflake certification portal on Certmetrics to register and to track your certification status and expiry.
- A government-issued photo ID is required at check-in, whether you test online through OnVUE or at a Pearson test center.
- For online delivery you need a private, distraction-free space and a machine that passes the Pearson system test.
- SnowPro Core itself is the entry point for the SnowPro Advanced series, so no other certification is needed first.

Passing Requirement
750 on a scaled 0 to 1000 range. Snowflake uses scaled scoring with statistical analysis to keep the standard consistent across exam forms, item difficulty levels, and versions, so 750 is not a raw percentage of questions answered correctly.
