This page describes what ExamTips collects and what happens to it. It is written against what the site actually does rather than as boilerplate.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you subscribe to updates or submit a quiz to get your results. We also record which exam you were looking at and, for a quiz, your score and answers.
- Purchase records, if you buy Pro: your email, the exam, the amount and the Stripe session reference.
- Traffic data, in aggregate. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell anything to advertisers.
You do not need an account to read anything on this site. All 188 exam guides and the career advice are readable without giving us anything.
Who processes it
- Supabase stores subscriber, quiz and purchase records.
- Resend sends the emails you ask for.
- Stripe handles payment. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Simple Analytics and a self-hosted Umami instance measure traffic. Both are cookieless.
- Google Ads conversion tracking runs on the site, which does set cookies if you arrive from an advert.
How long we keep it
Subscriber and quiz records are kept until you ask us to remove them. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Getting your data removed
Email [email protected] and we will delete your records. You do not have to give a reason. If you are in the UK, EU or another region with equivalent rules, you can also ask for a copy of what we hold and object to processing.
