Rules specific to this exam
- Pretest questions collect statistics for future exam construction and do not affect your score. Texas mixes 15 into the Life, Accident and Health exam and does not identify them.
- Texas requires two forms of current signature identification, with a government-issued photo-bearing primary ID and a secondary ID carrying a valid signature, both in English.
- Florida requires one form of current unexpired signature identification that is government issued and photo-bearing.
- Florida test centres do not permit personal calculators but will supply one from centre staff on request.

How It Is Calculated
Florida states only that the score is the number of questions answered correctly divided by the total number of examination questions; it does not publish the raw number of correct answers that reaches 70 percent. Texas converts raw scores to a scaled score so that different forms report the same standard: the handbook's own example has 30 correct on one form and 28 correct on another both mapping to the same scaled pass mark. Pretest questions never count.
