Score You Need
None published. IPN and UNAM assign places to candidates with a minimum secundaria average of 7.0, working down from the highest number of correct answers and honouring each candidate's registered order of preference until each school's places are filled.
How It Is Calculated
The exam is a fixed 128-item multiple choice test with one correct answer per item. Nothing in the instructivo describes a penalty for a wrong answer, so an unanswered item can only cost you. Because assignment runs on aciertos plus preference order plus availability, the effective threshold for a given school is determined each year by how many higher-scoring candidates listed it, not by a standard set in advance.
When You Get Results
In the 2026 cycle results were published on 18 August. The Gaceta Electronica de Resultados on miderechomilugar.gob.mx is the only official document, and the individual result and diagnostic available on the exam portal are informative only, with no official validity.
- Two forms of valid ID (one government-issued with photo)
- Appointment confirmation email
- For online proctoring: webcam, microphone, clean desk, stable internet
